The Broadstone Golf Club Pro Am Day was in aid of Julia's House and attracted 29 teams for the day. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone and raised a significant amount of money for the Charity. The final figure will be published here once all the monies are in and counted. The Winning Team on the day was Growler's Howlers from Ferndown Forest GC, with The Lovers (Gary Emmerson, Paul Lovesy, Duncan Tombs and Andy Crouch) in 2nd place and Schofield Chartered Accountants (Scott Godfrey, Andrew Walker, Clive Prett and Bruce Tyrell) in 3rd Place.
The winning Professional was Scott Godfrey from Ferndown GC. Scott had only a few weeks earlier equaled the Course record with a round of 62, nine shots below the Standard Scratch for the course. He didn't quite achieve that score on this occasion but it was close! Well done Scott

Some great raffle prizes were won on the day, not least of which was the fabulous Diamond Necklace worth £1,700 that had been donated by Charles Fox Jewellers of Bournemouth. This was won by Vanessa Sleischer, owner of the MOP Hair Salon in Broadstone. Vanessa said she was "absolutely astonished and delighted when I heard I had won. A tremendous prize and a big Thank You to Broadstone Golf Club, Charles Fox Jewellers and Julia's House for putting it all together".
Other raffle prizes were won as follows; Classic Car Weekend in Cornwall (Car plus Hotel for 2 nights including meals) - Stephen Bennett Round of golf for 4 at Remedy Oak GC - John Lewis AUDI Cabriolet for the weekend - Mark Pratt Round of golf for 4 at Royal Cinque Port - Larry Cooper Greek Villa for 6 people - David Carter Our thanks to all of the Sponsors for supporting us so well in this event (as always) and for providing so many excellent prizes for the raffles. Our thanks also to all the people who entered the competition and made it such a great day. Lastly, these great days don't happen on their own so a special Thank You to everyone who helped to organise the event and to everyone who helped on the day.
