Broadstone Golf Club is host to several Open competitions in the year, when members of the golfing community across the country can come and enjoy the course and compete for several Prestige Trophies and Prizes. Below are some of the main ones to watch out for duing the year.
The Broadstone Bull
This is a team of 6, including 1 or more Ladies, playing Stableford Foursomes as pairs against the other entrants. The winner of the coveted Broadstone Bull is the team with the best overall score. There are also prizes for best Individual Home and Away Pairs and other prizes for Runners-up, twos, etc. A great day, attended by Golf Clubs across the South of England and filled within days of entries being made available.
Scratch Open Scratch Open Entry Form
Broadstone are pleased to re-introduce a 36 hole Scratch Open, for category 1 players. This competition will be 36 holes stroke play, with an excellent prizes up to the value of £1,000.
The Captain's Charity Day Captains_Charity_Day_2010_Entry_Form
This competition has varying formats depending upon the Captain of the Year. Whatever the format, it is always a great day to bring along a team and support a very worthwhile cause as all of the proceeds go to the Captain's Charity. The Broadstone Pro Am
This is another sponsored Charity Event, with great prizes and good golf. Teams of 4, including a Professional, compete in a best 2 out of 4 Stableford with prizes for Best Team, Best Individual and Best Professional, plus Runner-up, twos, etc. Another great way to enjoy the course and contribute to a worthy cause as all proceeds go to the specified charity. Seniors Open Seniors Open - Start Sheet
This is a Seniors Open Four Ball Better Ball Stableford competition, played for the Bill Marsh Trophy.
The Men's Invitation Day Mens Invitation Day Entry Form
This is a Better Ball Stableford competition for Men and their Guests. It usually involves coffee and something to eat before the round, then 18 holes of fun followed by a meal. There are prizes for the longest drive and nearest-the-pin too. It's a great way to show off your course to friends and colleagues and make them envious of the course you enjoy all year round.
The Ladies Invitation Day
The Ladies Invitation day is an opportunity for lady members to invite a friend to play with them at Broadstone. The golf is taken seriously (by most!) but the day is very enjoyable. The hot meal and the prize giving is a chance for everyone to catch up and reflect on a great day out playing Broadstone Golf Club.
The Ladies Open Ladies Open Entry Form
The Ladies Open at Broadstone is played as a 4BBB and is an opportunity for ladies from all over Dorset and beyond to come and play this lovely golf course. The ladies are greeted on arrival, and then given a day they will remember, starting with coffee and then the round of golf, followed by a hot meal, which is always welcome. In 2008 ladies came from 28 different clubs, many travelling many miles and most try to return every year because they love the course so much.
The Mixed Open mixed-open-start-sheet-2010
This is an 18 hole Mixed Greensome Stableford, winners receive the King Trophy. Very popular competition, with entrants from across the South of England. Meal included in the entry fee.
The Mens Open - Mens Open Start Sheet
An 18 hole Men’s 4BBB Stableford, this is a very popular competition, usually full within 10 days of being released. Players come from a multitude of clubs within a 100-mile radius. Meal included in the entry fee.
The Junior Open junior-open
18 holes medal & a Daily Telegraph Qualifier, scratch and net prizes for boys and girls – a very popular competition.
