Sunday 2^nd August saw the Millennium League side resume their 2009 campaign against Ferndown away.  Phil Purvis, Frank Snow, Jim Robertson, Pete Asquith, Steve Morris, Neil Taylor, Wes Hacker and Martin Arnold took on a Ferndown side that had won at Broadstone last year.  Fortunately the weather was kind and conditions were almost perfect.  As expected the match was extremely close with four games being decided on the 18^th and two on the 17^th.  Frank, Jim, and Pete all recorded narrow victories as did Martin, who despite a recent handicap cut prevailed against the Ferndown Captain.  Result of the day went to Wes who despite giving our team captain a scare before the match stormed to a seven hole advantage before finally winning 5 &4.  The overall result was 5 games to 3 in Broadstone’s favour.

With three matches to go our current position is third behind Hockley and Stoneham.  Hockley have played one more match than ourselves, while we entertain Stoneham in September, so there is still everything to play for.
