| Hardy A Division One League Update |

The last league match of the season took place on Sunday with Canford Magna hosting Parkstone. It is incredible to think that this match would not only decide who would win the league but would also decide who went down to Division Two alongside DG&CC. Canford needed to win this match to win the league and Parkstone needed to win to stay up, could it get anymore important? From our point of view yes it could! If Parkstone beat Canford then we would win the top division for the third consecutive year. Despite putting up a brave effort away from home Parkstone could not over turn Canford who ran out 5 - 3 winners. This result meant that the Broadstone team finished in runners up spot for 2009 which is no mean feat in a highly competitive league and a valiant effort to win this league for a third consecutive year. The result does mean that we lose our friends Parkstone from the top division next year along with DG&CC but they will be replaced by the promoted teams from Division Two who are Wareham and Sherborne.
With the league now done and dusted we still have the 2nd Leg of K/O Cup Final to play which is at Yeovil on October 11th. We take with us a 6-2 lead from the first leg and also the determination to bring home the Cup to Broadstone which is one that has been missing from our trophy cabinet for some time.
