| Captains Drive In March 2010 |

Following the match the players, their guests and family joined the Captain for lunch and were also joined by Julie and Sam representing the Captain's Charity 'The Round Table Children's Wish'. Money raised from guessing the drive, the Charity Raffle and a series of Captain's fines following lunch raised a total on the day of £810 for the charity. A great start to the year where the Captain is aiming to raise £30,000 for 'Children's Wish' through various golfing and social events being held throughout the year.
A further 46 members entered the Captains Drive-In Stableford competition and some terrific scores were returned. Division One was won by Dave Southern playing off a 3 handicap and returning 38 points whilst Division Two was won by Steve Morris playing off a handicap of 14 and scoring 40 points. Well done to all those that entered and full results are in the result section of our website.

On a beautiful Spring morning with clear blue skies the Captain Drive-In teams and their guests were suitably warmed with a delightful hot rum punch on the 1st tee. The new Captain, Neil Irish, got the Drive-In underway with a drive that found the left hand side of the fairway with 7 members within one square of guessing the correct place of where the drive would finish and Pat Michael was drawn out as the winner of the dozen Pro-V's. The match result this year went in favour on the new Captain's side who reclaimed the Hastie Trophy after winning a closely fought match against the past Captains team by 7 points to 6.
