Fourteen-year-old Kyra Horlock won the Wiltshire Ladies’ County Championship at Marlborough. The three-handicapper, who is a member at Broadstone Golf Club and Cumberwell Park, was also leading qualifier for the matchplay stages. Kyra beat county captain Karen Gosling in the final and said: “I was runner-up last year and I was determined to do better this year.  It feels great!”

Kyra was also successful in making the cut and playing in the first match play stage of the English Womens’ Golf Championship held at Broadstone this year. She played wonderfully well but was narrowly beaten by Hannah Barwood, a Curtis Cup player.
