The Broadstone Bull took place on 25th April. As usual, 40 teams from all over the South of England arrived to compete in this event which is now a firm favourite in the golfing calendar  for many clubs. Teams of 6, including at least 1 Lady, compete in a teams Foursomes competition played off half the combined handicap in order to win the Broadstone Bull, plus a table of prizes.

As always it was an extremely enjoyable and friendly day for everyone. The weather was good, the course was good, the food was good and the golf was better for some than others! Foresomes is not an easy format and the whole team has to play well to bring in a good score.

There are always separate prizes for the Home and Away teams and this year the prizes went to:

Hugh Lawes & Julie Lawes - Came Down - 36 points, runner up away pair
Ian Chastney & Angelina Brewer - Barton-on-Sea - 37 points, winning away pair
Dominic Jackson & Hilton Alcock  - 37 points,runner up Broadstone pair
Ellen Mackie & Ashley Beckett  - 38 points, winning Broadstone pair
Remedy Oak Rabbits - 97 points - runner up away team
Paul Cooper, Martin Shearing, Paul Torrible, Lyn Whiting & Tony Whiting - 102 points, runner up home team
Bob Nichol, David Mellor, Val Ford, Sandi & Chris Stott - 103 points winning away team
Brian Medlam, Yvonne Brown, Steve Lowery, Kevin Turner, Nigel Thomson & Chris Dennis - 103 points (on countback) winning home team and winners of the 'Broadstone Bull.
