| Ladies’ Captain/Professional Challenge - 27th May 2010 |
 Doreen Cooper (Ladies' Captain), Louise Cameron, Mathew Wilson (Club Professional) and Carol Cass The format for this Match was 4BBB, ¾ handicaps, and the aim was to beat the score made by the Pro and the Ladies’ Captain. Prizes were awarded to the best three scores of the day and sleeves of balls were awarded to any teams beating the Captain/Pro. score. The winners on the day with 42pts were:- 1st Carol Cass and Louise Cameron 2nd Jane Best & Bernie Oxley 3rd Maggie Bray & Penny Channon After the Match there was a Presentation Supper where Mathew, the Professional, had to brace himself for an evening where he was the only male present. I think he secretly enjoyed being the centre of attention for so many ladies, even if it was a bit overwhelming at times. He proved himself a good sport when some of the girls ‘cuddled up’ for the photographs. The ladies always enjoy their ‘girls night out’ on these occasions and after such a lovely day on our beautiful course - which looks its best at this time of year, - we had a very friendly, fun evening.
