Lee James produce 2 excellent rounds of golf to secure his 3rd Broadstone Club Championship, 21 years after securing his 2nd title.

In breezy conditions on the Saturday, Lee said that he missed a few shots but still managed to post a 68, leaving him 5 shots clear of Rob Atherton and Lee Wyeth back in joint second. James, a former British Amateur Champion who had recently regained his amateur status following a long spell as a professional, now plays off +4 and finished his Saturday round with a birdie after a fine approach shot.
The Sunday round was played in slightly more favourable conditions and despite finishing with a bogey, Lee produced another excellent round, this time a 67, to finish comfortably clear of Rob Atherton and Lee Wyeth who matched each other with 74's on Sunday.
In the Challenge Cup, the nett 36 hole competition, Remco Polman emerged as the victor with rounds of 72 and 68, one shot clear of 3 players tied for second.
