Immediate Past Captain Neil Irish recently handed over a cheque for £17,000.00, the total funds raised during his year in office. Neil had a fantastic year and with the help of the members at Broadstone raised a fabulous amount of money for such a worthwhile cause - Round Table Children's Wish.

Below is the latest update on some of the wishes that have been granted  -

Joshua  – To have a games room in the garden. Joshua, age 11,  was referred to us by Southampton Hospita lwhere he is being treated for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. For his wish Joshua asked  to  have acabin in the garden with a pool table, to create a teenagers space. We contacted Shed Store in Reading and ordered an  Alpine Arosa Log  Cabin that fitted nicely into the family’s garden. The family’s  local church had very kindly purchased a pool table to go inside so all we  needed was a base for the cabin. The local church also helped Dad prepare a base  for the cabin. Ian McMillan, the Chairman for New Milton Round Table was very  helpful and went along with a few guys from RT to erect the cabin. They worked extremely hard and braved the very cold weather. Joshua is now planning on decorating the cabin and installing all sorts of games and equipment. He is looking forward to game nights with his friends.

Charlotte - To go to  Majorca and be in the Pirate show. We are hoping that  Charlotte will be able to go on her holiday later this year. Her father is in  the forces so it's all about doing this at the right time for all the  family.

Rory -  To go the Legoland Denmark. Rory and his family  are booked to go to Legoland Denmark on 8th  August. We have also organised a  special tour of the Lego factory. The family are really looking forward to their  trip.

David -  To learn to surf in Cornwall. We have arranged  David's holiday before but had to cancel due to him being rushed to hospital.He  is still a poorly boy and not yet able to  travel but weare keeping our fingers crossed that he will be able to have his  wish later in the year, We are in  regular communication with the family and David is always talking about his wish  and what he wants to do.

Jack - To  ???? Jack is still very  undecided about his wish and his taking his time to think about  it.
